It’s August, so it must be time to head to Vancouver, Washington for the 2012 version of the Columbia River Concours d’Elegance. This is a photo gig that I look forward to every year. It is about 200 elegant, rare and historical cars displayed around the stately mansions of Officers Row at the Historic Fort Vancouver. The cars and environment create an incredible experience that is, in itself, rare.

The Rotary Clubs of Vancouver Metro Sunset and West Linn partner to put on this event. Revenue from this event supports local and international Rotary programs. I am honored to support the programs of Rotary by being the event photographer.

It was a magical moment!

The Siletz Bay Music Festival brings world-class music to audiences in Lincoln City, Oregon. It is my privilege to be their photographer. Lindsay Deutsch and Gerald Robbins had the audience spellbound with their recital of Brahms and Gershwin.

Video and audio recordings can capture the total performance. I believe there is a place for a different kind of record. I enjoy the challenge of capturing the energy and musical conversation with a still photograph. There are interesting moments of intensity that can only be celebrated with a photograph.

Pianist, Gerald Robbins and violinist, Lindsay Deutsch provided a wonderful afternoon of music in the intimate setting of the new Eventuary in Lincoln City, Oregon. It is time for a new look for the Blue Water Photography website. This website answers my need to keep my clients and friends up to date on current projects and events at Blue Water Photography.
